This year’s event promises an unforgettable journey held between two stunning venues, Spicers Clovelly Estate and Spicers Tamarind Retreat. Each stop will showcase a diverse array of canapés and drinks, offering a delightful exploration of local flavours and hospitality.

A convenient shuttle service will transport you between the two venues, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable day amidst the beautiful scenery of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Itinerary

11.00 am

Shuttle service pickup from Spicers Clovelly Estate to Spicers Tamarind Retreat.

Please note that guests staying at Spicers Clovelly Estate will be transported to Spicers Tamarind Retreat at the beginning of the event. At the end, all guests will be returned to their respective hotels.

11.30 am

Event starts at Spicers Tamarind Retreat.

Stop 1: Scenic Rim Trail & Spicers Hidden Vale

Prepared by Head Chefs Jake Knauth of Scenic Rim Trail and Luke Wakefield of Homage Restaurant.

11.30 am to 12.30 pm

Begin your culinary journey at the fire pit as you enjoy two exquisite canapés alongside a selection of refreshing drinks.

Canapés:

  • Beignet of Tommerup’s sheep’s milk + garden weeds | 9Dorf chicken liver parfait + spiced brioche + smoked date + tobacco + maple
  • Scenic Rim pickled mushroom toast, macadamia cream cheese, black garlic & herb oil

To complement your canapés, we will be serving:

  • Taittinger champagne: a selection of premium champagne to toast to the day
  • Louis Roederer and G&T stall: enjoy a variety of gin and tonics with a champagne tasting to enhance your experience
  • The Long Run beer by The Great Northern Brewing Co.

Stop 2: Spicers Tamarind Retreat & Spicers Balfour Hotel

Prepared by Head Chefs Daniel Jarrett of The Tamarind and Tyson Murr of The Balfour Kitchen & Bar.

12.30 pm to 1.30 pm

Continue to the Sala Room, a beautiful indoor space opening out to views of our pond and gardens, for a seated experience featuring a delectable entreé for each person.

Entreés:

  • Scallop, roasted pork belly, crystallized ginger and fish sauce caramel, pickled green papaya
  • Murray cod with nuoc cham compressed green mango and dashi beurre blanc

To complement your entreés, we will be serving aromatic Riesling wines.

1.30 pm

Transfer from Spicers Tamarind Retreat to Spicers Clovelly Estate.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with a dedicated stall setup featuring Rosé Rameau D’Or wines. In addition, roaming canapés will be served as you mingle with fellow guests.

Canapés:

  • Buckwheat blini, chive creme fraiche, shiraz gin salmon roe
  • Buffalo tartare, cured egg yolk, rye cracker
  • Compressed watermelon, cured kingfish

Stop 3: Spicers Clovelly Estate

Prepared by Head Chef Geoff Abel of The Long Apron.

2 pm to 3 pm

Indulge in a leisurely lunch on the lawn, where you will enjoy an outdoor dining experience. Enjoy a selection of rich and robust French red wines, perfectly paired to complement the flavours of your French main courses and sides to share.

Meals:

  • Peachester fresh lamb, Paris gnocchi, smoked carrot, turnips
  • Ballotine of pheasant, bread sauce, falls farm greens
  • Blue dog farm salad, Davidson plum vinaigrette
  • Salt baked beetroot, Maleny buffalo mozzarella, leek ash
  • Duck fat potatoes, mustard dressing, gremolata

Stop 4: Spicers Peak Lodge

Prepared by Executive Chef Gareth Newburn of The Peak Restaurant.

3 pm to 4 pm

For the final leg of your adventure, unwind and savour sweet treats accompanied by a selection of rich and luscious sticky or fortified wines.

Dessert:

  • Salted camel’s milk ice cream, lemon verbena, rosella, pepper berry, marigold

Additionally, we will serve s’mores – toasted marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate, offering a nostalgic and delicious finale.

4 pm

Event finishes at Spicers Clovelly Estate.

4 pm to 4.15 pm

Shuttle service transfer from Spicers Clovelly Estate to Spicers Tamarind Retreat, available for guests staying at Spicers Tamarind Retreat.
