Spicers Signature Wine Experience

Discover six premium wines sourced from the Hunter Valley and learn how they were crafted from grape to bottle.

This experience is focused on three of the five senses:

Sight – learn how to identify grape varieties by comparing the colour of wines to a professional colour chart. We cover colours of various grape varieties and the way wines change in colour with age.
Smell – utilise a kit of 54 bottled essences imported from France to identify aromas in their purest form and relate this to the wines provided within the experience.
Taste – understand terroir, tannin, sweetness and acidity. Discover the primary, secondary and tertiary characteristics of wine and the story they can tell.

As part of this experience, four locally sourced cheeses and two handmade chocolates will be paired with the wines tasted. Guests will gain a better understanding for wine and food pairing across both savoury and sweet flavour profiles.

This experience goes for approximately 1.5 hours and costs $179 per person. This experience is available for a minimum of two people.
