Exploring the property on a mountain bike is a great and fun way to explore. We have up to six high-quality dual suspension Merida adult mountain bikes available for hire or you are welcome to bring your own. (Please note, we do not have any children’s bikes). Our bikes need to be booked prior to your arrival with an add-on cost of $95 per bike for the duration of your stay. Please advise reservations at least 48 hours prior to your arrival. Misuse of bikes will result in being liable for the damages and/or replacement. If you happen to get a puncture please let us know so we can repair it.
Relaxing in our beautiful bush setting is the perfect opportunity for bushwalking, bike riding or relaxing on your balcony with a good book. We also have a selection of board and outdoor games to keep you entertained.
Bushwalking & bike riding at the retreat -Spicers Canopy is on a 5,000-acre nature refuge so you have ample space to roam the property and explore. There will be maps at the Retreat for you to use during your stay.
Board games – Scrabble, Jenga, playing cards & Articulate are in the main lodge ready for guests to use
Outdoor games – Badminton
Activities – There is a library of wildlife books in the main lodge guests are welcome to read
Hot tub – Please bring your bathers with you to enjoy the hot tub on the property

Exploring The Region
The Scenic Rim is beautiful, famous for its walks and vistas and home to excellent produce. Here are a few recommendations close to the retreat.
Kooroomba Vineyard & Lavender Farm – 50 min
Perfect for a lovely long lunch. The restaurant is excellent with mains starting from $28. Generally flowering all year round the store has a variety of beautiful lavender products. Main Range National Park – 15 min drive
Beautiful rainforest and bush walking can be found close by in Main Range National Park. Choose from a short 25min circuit up to an 8-hour adventure. Parking can fill up quickly so we recommend getting there before 9am. In winter it will be cool so rug up and always take a backpack with some food & water.
Lake Moogerah – 45 min drive
The are 3 dams in the region with Moogerah being the closest. Lake Moogerah Caravan Park on Muller Park Road has a range of watercrafts available for hire including kayaks, tinnies or standup paddleboards. Fishing is also popular. (Muller Park Road Moogerah | Call 5463 0141 to enquire)
Spicers Peak Lodge – 30 min drive
Add a touch of luxury to your getaway and make a reservation at the hatted PEAK Restaurant or book into the Spa Anise day spa. A trip to Spicers Peak Lodge is well worth it for an adults only treat. Open Thusday to Monday. (1 Wilkinson Rd, Maryvale | 1300 253 103 to book)
Summer Land Camel Farm – 50 min drive
A great pitstop on your way home if you are heading to Brisbane or the coast. As the largest commercial camel farm outside of the middle east. Find a secluded spot under a shady tree with a Picnic Hamper filled with cured meats, pickles, olives, fresh sourdough, cheeses, fruits, nuts and more. The farm is closed on Saturday. Warwick is a small town of approximately 15,000 people, that has a shopping centre, a cinema, restaurants and more.
