After purchasing the historic Guest House in 2016, Spicers Retreats is excited to open the doors of it’s second Hunter Valley Retreat in late November 2018. The original Guest House was the meeting place for local wine makers in years gone by and Spicers has paid homage to this history with an extensive refurbishment.
Spicers Guesthouse will open with 46 luxuriously appointed rooms including a four bedroom house, state of the art conference facilities, an events gazebo and a new outdoor pool. A private dining room within the restaurant and bar, will also feature a wine wall for local wine makers to house their favourite drop. The Spicers design team have created a classic yet textural look and feel, drawing upon the natural colour scheme of the Hunter region as inspiration.
“Throughout the refurbishment it’s been important to pay tribute to the legacy of The Guest House, as the property played a significant part in the history of the Hunter Valley’ said Spicers Retreat’s Owner, Jude Turner. As the ninth Retreat in the Spicers portfolio, Spicers Guest House will open in November providing a new venues for getaways, weddings and conferences.
