The retreat is located in Clumber and the address 7791 Cunningham Hwy, Clumber QLD 4309. The Google Maps coordinates are 28°02’33.1″S 152°28’11.1″E which will take you right to the camp. If coming from Aratula your turn off will be on your left. You will be looking for a sign that says Scenic Rim Trail, this is where you turn in.

The property houses the cabins, the trail head for the Scenic Rim Trail as well as a residential house. Follow the dirt road into the property, following signs to Scenic Rim Trail & the Hidden Peaks Cabins (the driveway is about 2/3 KM long). You will reach a large shed and a house. Keep driving past the house and go over the cattle grid. Follow the dirt road all the way to the retreat, approx. 5-minute drive. The retreat is accessible by car and 4WD; if it has been raining please take extra care.

Cabins

The retreat has six individual wood cabins each with an ensuite. Each cabin features a balcony with deck chairs, perfect for reading & looking out at the mountain range or bushland. The cabins are spacious, fitted with a double bed plus a single bunk bed overhead. A combustion fireplace features in each room (please take caution if using the fire if children are in the cabin).

The large ensuite bathrooms include a toilet, sink and hot shower with a four-minute time limit to conserve water. Cabins run on solar & battery power so please remember to turn off the lights when not in use. USB phone charging ports are provided next to your bed & in the main lodge. (Please do not use electric shavers, hairdryers or hair straighteners at this site, as it will drain the power). We also supply in each bathroom with L’Occitane products including shampoo, conditioner, body wash & hand wash.

The maximum capacity for each cabin is three people plus a camp bed for an additional child by request. We recommend the maximum capacity for the property is 18 people. Please note in accordance with Government recommendations only children 8 years or older should sleep on a top bunk. If you require an additional camp cot please advise our reservations team at the time of booking or at least 48 hours prior to arrival, an additional charge of $20 per bed will apply (pillow & sleeping bag will be provided).

Amenities

The retreat is powered by solar so we recommend being mindful of your energy consumption. The solar panels charge the batteries and if power is used excessively the batteries can run down resulting with no power or water pumping. We recommend turning off lights when not in use and avoid plugging in appliances or large device chargers such as laptops.

All bedding will be provided including sheets, pillows, duvet and towels. Amenities including shampoo, conditioner and body wash will be provided for the showers and hand wash for the sink. Toilet paper will also be provided. Firewood and fire-starting supplies are provided in the main lodge and within the cabins.

Please note: the filtered rainwater we use on the property is drinkable from the tap.
