A Q&A with Judy Sahay, Managing Director at Crowd Media Group.
Women in business are travelling more than ever. What’s important to you when choosing a hotel?Â
Running a fast paced business can be extremely stressful. So when I book hotels for business I look for something that is an escape from everyday life. I want something that I can’t experience everyday. Something unique and personalised. I need to feel relaxed.
The reputation is also important. I like to stay in places that are comfortable, clean, have an element of luxury and excitement. Location is also important, somewhere central near to restaurants and cafes is ideal for business trips.
How does a quality hotel experience benefit your productivity when travelling for work?
A quality hotel experience is paramount to my business productivity especially when travelling away from the team. Having a business suite, library or lounge areas are great, however access to fast unlimited wifi is top of the list.
Other elements include comfort, a personalised service, being able to wake up and get the ball rolling is important when choosing a hotel.
How important is it for workplaces to remove the daily distraction and make time for quality team collaboration?
The success of your business is directly related to your team’s ability to execute your client’s needs. At Crowd Media we value team collaborations and we do this quite regularly. Over the last few years we have taken the team out to various locations to avoid daily distractions and build a high quality team. I highly recommend business owners to spend quality time with the team. This is where I feel Spicers Retreat has so much to offer. There are 8 amazing retreats across Queensland, Hunter Valley, Blue Mountains and Sydney. My stay at Potts Point Sydney was truly a special experience.
When it comes time to disconnect from the every day do you prefer city or nature & why?Â
When it comes to disconnecting from everyday life I prefer to be somewhere with nature. It’s a real opportunity to realign your business vision, strategise goals and action plan. It’s important for me to be away from any form of distraction.
Tell us about a moment when you experienced our signature ‘Relaxed Luxury’ when staying at Spicers Potts Point.
Spicers Potts Point is really your home away from home. It’s the bridge between heritage and modern luxury. Every part of my experience was Relaxed Luxury. From the moment I checked into the Victoria Terrace Suite I was spoilt.
One of the most comfortable luxury rooms I have stayed in, extremely spacious, beautiful terrace with the best morning rays, rain shower and free standing bathtub was my favorite. A bath with Caviar Pearls is the epitome of luxury. Not to mention the intricate details of the room and hotel.
The overall service was second to none. Cocktails and networking opportunities in the evening, followed by a delicious scrumptious beaky in the morning.
Everything about the stay was fabulous, I can’t wait to check out the other Spicers Retreats.
