Fulfilling the original vision of its founders, the Spicers Scenic Rim Trail multi-day walks are a remarkable Queensland experience.
Our incredible five day walk commences with a Koala Safari and overnight stay at Spicers Hidden Vale located on Old Hidden Vale Station and Nature Refuge.
The walk begins the following day from Thornton Trailhead in Thornton Nature Refuge. Spend the day ascending through fields of iconic Xanthorrhoea to arrive at the elevated Mt Mistake Farmhouse for your second night’s accommodation.
Day three’s hike meanders along a picturesque ridge through temperate rainforest following the original Winder track in Main Range National Park. Stay the night at purpose-built Amphitheatre Eco Cabins our first night within Main Range National Park.
The next day set off from Amphitheatre to traverse the magnificent World Heritage Gondwana temperate rainforest, arriving at Timber Getters Eco Cabins, a historic logging camp, for night four.
For your final day of hiking we navigate new trails up to Bare Rock for a breathtaking 360 degree view across the Scenic Rim region and beyond. Our final destination is the historic Cunningham’s Gap where we celebrate the final night of the five day walk at Hidden Peaks Eco Cabins.
The two day walk commences at the Hidden Peaks Trailhead. Following a day of hiking in Main Range National Park, arrive at Spicers Canopy on Spicers Peak Station for your first night. On day two, leave as the sun rises for your hike to Spicers Peak Lodge where you’ll enjoy an afternoon before returning to Spicers Canopy for your final evening.
