Fire Update

Thursday, 21 November 2019
In the interest of team and guest safety, Spicers Peak Lodge will remain closed until 4 December 2019. During this time we will be clearing the access road and doing some required clean up after the firefighting efforts.

It was a big weekend for firefighters on Spicers Peak Station, home to Spicers Peak Lodge. A significant amount of bushland was lost in the fire but thankfully there was no loss of property. As soon as it is safe to do so, we will assess the damage to the native flora and fauna in the area. We’ve already met a few local koalas in need of some shelter.

A koala makes a brief visit to Spicers Peak Lodge. It will spend a few days at a rescue centre before being released back into the wild.

The safety of our guests and team members is our number one priority. Therefore Spicers Peak Lodge will remain closed until Monday, 25 November 2019.

If you have a booking for Spicers Peak Lodge you will be contacted by our reservations team today to discuss alternative arrangements.

We want to send our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the firefighting efforts this weekend. Without your commitment it’s almost certain the damage to property would have been substantial.
