January 21, 2021
We are excited to announce that five of our restaurants have been awarded Chef Hats in the Australian Good Food Guide awards for 2021.
The Long Apron (Spicers Clovelly Estate), Homage Restaurant (Spicers Hidden Vale) and The Peak (Spicers Peak Lodge) received 2 Chef Hats with The Tamarind (Spicers Tamarind Retreat) and Restaurant Botanica (Spicers Vineyards Estate) taking out 1 Chef Hat each.
Crafted from our own gardens or sourced from the best local suppliers, the food created by our chefs is our passion. Modern Australian, French, Italian, Thai and other Asian cuisines are just a few of the cooking styles that lend their influence and inspiration to the mouth-watering dishes created by our talented chefs.
The Australian Good Food & Travel Guide boasts a long and colourful history. Founded in 1977, two years of comprehensive research and compilation saw the release of Australia’s first national restaurant, accommodation and travel guide in 1979. Originally inspired by the Michelin and Gault Millau guides of Europe, the earliest guides carried the title: ‘Guide Bonvoyage’
Throughout the decades pioneering principles and values have continued to set the standard establishing AGFG as Australia’s most respected rating authority.
Every year the AGFG inspectors conscientiously inspect thousands of establishments and other places of interest for inclusion in their publication.
