Spicers Retreats offers not only a unique location but a range of natural environments – the high country woodland of Spicers Peak Lodge, the tranquil rainforest of Spicers Tamarind Retreat and the open grassland of Spicers Hidden Vale to name just a few. When you stay with us over summer it is easy to maintain your fitness with a range of activities to burn some energy, so you can have that extra ice cream.

At most of our retreats you can explore the region on one of our mountain bikes but Hidden Vale Adventure Park (HVAP) located at Spicers Hidden Vale, offers a world class trail network catering for all ages and abilities. You’ll love exploring our 12,000 acre property and you can hire a mountain bike for half a day which includes park access fee and a helmet. Another option is to do a private tour of the park with our catered shuttles.

  1. Hiking

Escape the stresses of everyday life with a bush walk or hike from some of our retreats.

From Spicers Tamarind Retreat walk to Gardners Falls – The falls are on public land but can be accessed by a path on the Tamarind property. Make sure you bring your bathers and some walking shoes- these falls are a definite must see at our property.

A beautiful rainforest walk on our private property at Spicers Clovelly Estate is ready and waiting for you upon your check in to Spicers Clovelly Estate. Take your special someone and embark on a relaxing walk through the best of what the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has to offer. With an abundance of native flora and fauna, be sure to pack a camera!

Why not take a nice scenic walk to one of the best lookouts in the Scenic Rim at Spicers Peak Lodge? The Northern Lookout at Spicers Peak Lodge offers a beautiful view of the valley below and the rolling hills of the Great Dividing Range. To make this even better, we can organise a picnic to be waiting for you when you arrive, with a bottle of bubbles to cheers the beautiful sunset.

At Spicers Sangoma Retreat in the Blue Mountains guests can explore the local fauna and flora and the majestic views via a range of walking tracks both on the property and within nearby National Parks.

  1. Yoga

Yoga is great for reducing stress, improving posture, increasing body strength and flexibility. At a range of Spicers Retreats you can partake in a yoga class in the naturally beautiful surrounds of your accommodation.

  1. Tennis

An easy way to maintain your fitness while staying with us is to challenge your opponent to a friendly game of tennis. Many of our Spicers Retreats are equipped with tennis courts so you can burn off that extra cocktail that you had the night before.

  1. Swimming

Not only is swimming a welcome relief from the hot summer days but it also gives you the benefits of an aerobic workout without any damaging impact on your joints. Besides, our pools are quieter so there will be plenty of chances for you to cut a few laps of freestyle.
